Owning pets means needing to deal with the occasional stain. Many products are available to help you clean up after your pets, including OxiClean.
OxiClean
OxiClean is a cleaning product that uses hydrogen peroxide as one of its main ingredients. It can be used to clean clothing, furniture and rugs with pet stains on them, according to The Dog Bible.
Dangers
If your pet ingests OxiClean, the hydrogen peroxide could cause it to vomit. In large concentrations, hydrogen peroxide can cause damage to skin tissue, especially if your pet has a cut or other injury that is exposed to it, according to The First+Aid Companion for Dogs & Cats.
Considerations
All cleaning supplies should be kept out of the reach of pets for their safety. If you are using OxiClean to remove a pet stain in your carpet and need to let it sit, close the door to keep pets out of the room or cover the stain with an old towel to block their access to the cleaner.
